I'm seeing authentication errors

Troubleshoot Beaconly authentication errors. Reconnect extensions, handle password changes, and fix organization access restrictions.

Authentication errors usually mean your connection to a service needs refreshing:

  1. Reconnect the extension:

    • Right-click the extension showing the error
    • Select “Reconnect” or “Sign In Again”
    • Complete the authentication flow
  2. Check for password changes - If you changed your password on the service (e.g., GitHub), you’ll need to re-authenticate

  3. Revoke and re-authorize:

    • Go to the service’s settings (e.g., GitHub Settings > Applications)
    • Revoke Beaconly’s access
    • Reconnect through Beaconly
  4. Check for organization restrictions - Some workplace accounts may restrict third-party app access. Contact your IT admin if needed.
